Aba Shanti-I is a renowned UK-based sound system operator and dub producer. With over three decades of experience, he has become a pivotal figure in the roots reggae and dub scene, captivating audiences across the UK and Europe. His journey began as "Jasmine Joe," deejaying for the Jah Tubby's sound system, before taking the helm in 1990 and debuting at the Leicester Carnival. Since 1993, Aba Shanti-I has been a staple at the Notting Hill Carnival, where his sound system continues to draw massive crowds. That same year, DJ Magazine honored him as the No. 1 DJ in the world. Beyond live performances, he has produced numerous records on his Falasha imprint, collaborating with his brother, Blood Shanti, and the Shanti-Ites band.
